Some times there are those moments of perfection. You can count them in hours. This weekend, I had a perfect 48.
I woke up Sat am and completed my longest run yet- 6 miles!
It was a glorious 70 degree sunny day. Lucky for me because next on the agenda was my annual birthday shopping trip to my favorite store,
Pavement, preceded by coffee at Espresso a mano, and followed by brunch at Coca Cafe, all with my dear friend, Lisa. Saturday night was a (themed) dinner party at our house. Thankfully no running Sunday so I could indulge in margaritas and choco tacos (yes, that is a real thing)!
Sunday, Reggie and I went to
A Taste of Grow Pittsburgh fundraiser. Local food, wine and beer and another fantastic day weather-wise. It was so well executed. From the banjo band to the reusable compostable cutlery! The perfection was almost too much to bear. Almost.

| oh god it is officially fall! Tights and favorite boots! Yes that is a mason jar full of local beer in the bottom right corner. |
Unfortunately, the 48 hours were not so idyllic for the youngest Gillefond. Tilly had a 48 hour fever. She is always lovey, but active. Note the difference. This is how we spent 2 full hours Sunday afternoon. Poor sick bear.

| Yes, I'm wearing a slip. Because I am a lady. |
Our lives are likely to change significantly in the next 6 months. I will be finishing my Ph.D. and we may leave Pittsburgh. This was one of those weekends where the thought of possibly leaving put a palpable pang in my heart. Thanks for a gorgeous 48, burgh!
