Halloween 2012 aka Tilly the Great Punkin

Well, it's no news to anyone that Hurricane Sandy disrupted Halloween this year. Pittsburgh's trick-or-treating has been moved from Halloween night to the following weekend, when I will unfortunately be out of town. Lucky for me (and the blog!) we've had a great lead-up to Halloween this year already captured on film. Reggie will still take her out and hopefully get some vid of her saying "trick or treat". But in the meantime, a look at our Halloween prep and fun this year. Much different and more fun with a toddler than an infant for sure!

We tried not to make him look too evil. She kept calling it "Daddy's punkin" till I, feeling left out, trained her corrected her to refer to it as "Everybody's punkin"

Perfect gloomy day for the Zoo Boo. It's a cute event with trick or treat stations, kids in costume, and some "scary" decorations at the Zoo.

The animals must have habituated to the Pittsburgh weather because they were all out and active.  That or they sensed the impending hurricane. Even the gorillas were running around. It was an awesome show.

Tilly didn't put up too much of a fuss with her Halloween costume, and loved her Halloween socks and pumpkin hair bow. Best of all, she is no longer afraid of the wilting pumpkin on the porch!

And now, I leave you with an ode to Tilly's Pumpkin. If she loves you, she sings Happy Birthday to you. And she loves her pumpkin.
