| early dismissal worthy weather |
Friday Mathilda's daycare had an early dismissal due to snow. At 12:50 while waiting downtown for a bus to take me to campus to drop off some employment paperwork, I get a call from my mother, telling me that daycare had called her because they couldn't get a hold of Reg or I, and would be closing in 45 min.
I obviously changed my afternoon plans and headed straight for home to get the car and then to daycare to pick up my snow bunny.
Upon arrival, I was told by her teacher that they tried my cell and work numbers with no answer, Reggie's cell, and then moved on to our emergency contact, my mom (who, as you can imagine, was quite frightened getting a call from Tilly's school midday!). They did not try Reggie's listed office line because - and I kid you not- they "didn't want to bother Reggie at work".
Whaaa?????
Are you kidding me?
So, Dr. Gillespie took her child home to make dinner for her hard working husband and clean the house watch Mary Poppins and explain the suffragette movement to the tot.
