At the beginning of the dissertation document, students are invited to write a Preface- a section for thank yous and acknowledgements. I'd like to think mine was genuine, heartfelt, and touched the appropriate people. But that Preface does not tell the entire story. Many other people, places, things, and ideas got me through the Ph.D.. I would like to honor those here and now.

I do not thank the 71A, B or C (why why why do you NEVER come when I need you?), the entire PittWeb system, nor the American Speech Language Hearing Association, among others who/that have certainly done me wrong in the last 4.5 years.
