Ok, this is not an earth shattering post. But having lived in 2 major metropolitan areas, and a 6 acre pseudo-farm, I found it impressive that the first praying mantis I can ever remember seeing came yesterday, on the windowsill of our dining room, in our urbansuburban home. and it was BIG.
Actually, Oscar found it. He is always chasing birds from the safety of our window ledge, but he was spending a significant amount of time pawing at the window yesterday, and when I went to investigate, I saw HER! (Im just assuming its a "she", too badass to be a "he").
Reg came home moments later and took a cellphone video of Oscar, "in action." ha!
