At the risk of being cheesey (but hey, its my anniversary, so I get a pass today) we are so lucky! I am so lucky! We have had a great time as "man and wife" these last 3 years (and if you don't get the Princess Bride reference- I am sorry. for you.)
3 years ago we were living in DC, I was working at Walter Reed, Reg at US-OPM. I hadn't yet been accepted into the PhD program at Pitt. Since then, we moved to Pittsburgh, started our urbansuburban life as homeowners, bought power tools, learned to cook, pretend to clean, got furniture we didn't have to put together ourselves with text-less directions, learned to garden, traveled this country and others, lost Lola but gained Oscar, made amazing friends, lost amazing friends and family, I learned to be more neighborly and to be more laid back, Reg learned to be on time (ok, we are still working on those things).
And in 4 months we will be parents. Except, I think we already are parents. We tell papoose all the time how lucky we are, how happy we are, what a great family we have. I'm so excited to bring papoose into our family of 2 (Ok 3, Oscar gets mad when he's not counted).
