Wow- 9 months! Mathilda is becoming such a
human! Her personality comes out more and more each day. She now shakes her head "no"- sometimes meaning no, and sometimes just as a way to respond. She consistently signs "milk" (top on the list of favorite things) and I think I inadvertently came up with a sign for "mama" (hand on the heart) which she is starting to do when she hears the word. She babbles
all the time. "Mama" and "Dada" exist, though still inconsistently. But oh how my heart is warmed when her little voice chimes, "mama!" She waves "hi" and "bye" and
maybe has said "bye-bye" and "dog". She loves playing pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo (which she plays by covering her face with any nearby object, or covering one eye with her hand). She also loves making music, and of course, eating. She always wants to feed herself and devours all finger foods. We go through a lot of Cheerios and
mum-mums. She drinks from a sippy cup all by herself like a pro. Still no crawling, but she can pull herself up to standing.
