2 months of GIllefond happenings (lotsa photos, notta lotta substance)

Jan and Feb 2014....ready, set, GO!

Technically these photos are from a holiday party in Dec, but were too cute to ignore.
Tilly ready to go to the party!
with one of her besties, Antonia, reading in bed while the adults partied downstairs. Group babysitter- best idea ever!
Well, New Year's Eve. This time we didnt do the cabin in the woods with friends like we have the last few years, but instead went to a dance party. Exhibit A & B: me and the lovely Leah and Larkin, respectively. (and yes, obviously, I wore the infamous onesie).

New Years Day brunch love

Mid Jan my office took a work-trip to Cleveland Clinic, which culminated in whirly-ball. Whirly-ball is a "sport" that combines bumper cars, basketball, and lacrosse.
and when you worked up an apetite you could eat this "food"
view from our hotel. Not too shabby. Insert sarcastic line about how awesome the Cleveland Browns are here: ________________
Tilly and Reggie drove up that Sunday and we visited my grandparents in Cleveland. She passed out for most of the ride home- thank goodness!

The following weekend I went with Leah and Tara to Berkley Springs, WV for a girls weekend. We spa'd and ate and kept a raging fire going for about 48 hours. And no, we didnt count the number of wine bottles
soul saving conversations + guitar, fire, wine, and snacks= perfect weekend!
we ate well!

I know I dont have to remind anyone of the Polar Vortex- aka longest, coldest, fucking winter, ever!
my daily drive to work

new bathrobe to keep warm!
tons of blankets to keep snug as a bug in a rug at night!
our neighbor, Lydia, made Tilly this amazing hat!
I have a similar one from my brother- a Xmas gift 2 years ago!

Its been too cold to go outside (or near the front door), so we make due by trashing the living room every chance we get.

And doing lots of reading

and sometimes having tantrums cause she asked for 5 raisins and we gave them to her.

on MLK Monday we took Mathilda to see her first movie in the theater- Frozen! It was fantastic and has a princess story even a feminist like me can get behind! TIlly LOVED it and came out singing the songs
which she continues to sing daily while simultaneously acting out the scenes alongside YouTube. (note Tiara)
we also hit up the Natural History museum, mainly so Tilly could visit her favorite dino- Triceratops. (No, I dont know why that one is the favorite, but it is).
In early Feb Aaron returned to the 'Burgh and the Triumvirate was temporarily reunited. We are working on a (we hope) big presentation for a (we think) big conference in May.

Valentine's Day with a kid is awesome- so much joy and love and candy! We went to a kids dance party complete with DJ and lights

a  quick nap on stage in front of the DJ on a balloon. Party on!

the 3 of us went out for Valentine's dinner at our favorite neighborhood place. So much love in this photo!
