Teacher Tilly - or- reading is fundamental

Ok so I havent blogged in 2 months.
And this post doesnt really make up for it. Cause the internet needs more babies and cats, right?

First, a few videos of Mathilda "reading" taken over the last year.
I love the 20-ish mo old reading "bonsoir lune" in baby French! Tilly just watched these with me and also commented that she was "baby Tilly" in that video. Precious.

She is always setting up her dolls and stuffed toys to read to them. This was sometime in the late Fall 2013

Around Xmas time this year, Tilly reads her version of Curious George, complete with talking to her "friends" (the role of her friends/classmates being played by her dolls) and getting them to look at the book and pay attention during circle time!

Tonight Mathilda had us play school. This pretend play occurs about 4x/week in our house. She is always "Miss Heather"- her rather strict teacher from her school- and therefore we are always being told to sit "criss cross applesauce or no stories!" and other such gems. I'd love to show these videos to her teacher someday. We're onto you, Miss Hannigan!
