papoose crafts

Inspired by our new washer/dryer (thanks, Jeopardy! winnings) and a closet full of clean baby clothes, I decided to do a little arts & crafts project for papoose last night.  I saw a similar design on HGTV.com (a great resource for design ideas.  Check out: http://www.roomzaar.com/rate-my-space/Nurseries/Baby-Ps-Modern-Nursery/detail.esi?oid=12235838)

I wanted to make little dividers for her clothes- since it is far from easy to tell what size an outfit is based on length or width alone- and all the pink starts to run together (nothing against pink, but oh my goodness! I was thrilled to get some hand-me-down baby boy clothes from a co-worker to get some blues and greens to break up all that pink!)
I used cardstock, ribbon and artificial flower buds cut from a large stem- all on clearance at Michael's, so I think the cost was about $2.50.  Oh, and the trusty glue gun of course!

all finished, displayed on the dining room table

how it looks in the beautiful closet that Reg built for her- Ill have more room photos at a later date.
While I was making these labels, we watched DVRd Daily Show episodes and Reg put together the big travel-system stroller! (we're also getting a smaller umbrella stroller)  Another dad ritual complete!
