Well, I'm officially off the blog wagon. My excuse is that my Mac harddrive is full so I cant upload and play with photos. Ive resorted to lots of instagramming, which, let's face it, is not the same. So much has happened since I last posted- government shutdown (and a furloughed spouse), my brother got married, I turned 32, and Mathilda is 2 going on 15, the Steelers stink, the Pirates are in the playoffs, its 85 degrees in October- The world is obviously spinning on an altered axis. I don't even know where to begin to post!
I got an amazing camera for my birthday and have been playing with it this last week. My goal is to get some decent shots in auto mode before really diving into new words like aperture, ISO, exposure, rule of thirds, and all these other things my talented friend (and now personal photography tutor!) is trying to teach me.
The photos that follow havent been retouched because I don't like what my PC can do (more motivation to get a bigger harddrive for the MacBook).
We had our annual trip to Reilly's farm yesterday, and it was great fun, as usual. I love this tradition! We went when Tilly was
18mo and 6mo, too. Tilly is still afraid of the petting zoo and anything involving masks (more on this years halloween costume finding adventure another time). But she willingly went on the hayride and picked out her own pumpkin. Below are my attempts at capturing the day with the new camera.
