Tilly's big world of sports

Like her mother, Mathilda is enthusiastic, competitive, and does not seem to possess a lot of natural athletic talent. Like her father, Mathilda is very good at running. We have taken her for runs around our resevoir (.75 miles) and she is able to hang in till the end.


In early September, Reggie ran the Steelers 5k (starts and ends in Heinz field- totally cool). Since we have somehow become a running family, Tilly ran her first tots race this year, as well. It was adorable.  Reg set a PR, and Mathilda, well, she ran a lot faster once she spotted Steely McBeam, the ridiculous Steelers pseudo-mascot. She still asks me where the "boy from the runners" is. Terrified.

We watch a lot of soccer in our house, and Mathilda is a genetically pre-determined Arsenal fan. Here she shows off her "moves" in my mom's front yard (taken in "sports" mode on the new camera).
