Yesterday we had a little fete for Mathilda's first birthday. Mother nature smiled upon us with glorious sunshine and temps in the 70s.

Unfortunately, I came down with a nasty virus on Sat which left me exhausted, voiceless, and communicating in raspy bursts and elaborate pantomime. Other than the hot flashes from the steroids prescribed to treat the swelling of my poor vocal folds, the other perk is that Ive cancelled all meetings today and tomorrow to sit at home in glorious silence, which is allowing me time to update this blog.
Reggie's mother and younger brother drove down from Syracuse, and his twin and fiance arrived from NYC after a long road trip. It was so great having them here and I know Mathilda loved seeing her grandma, aunt and uncles.
Jean-Yves and Melanie decorated with pink, green, and yellow streamers, which I think I may leave up for awhile- I love them!
