Tilly's first Yinz-tastic event

Memorial Day- the official start of summer.  When Yinzers everywhere bust out the home-made jean shorts, unfold the tank tops, dust off the beer koozies, and let the mullet grow (party in the back my friends).  This Memorial Day weekend we took Mathilda to her first Yinztastic event- an Aerosmith cover band concert at the Rivers Casino amphitheater.  I'll clarify- we didnt actually enter the casino with our infant, there is an amphitheater behind it on the water that is actually really nice, with a walkway that goes the length of the water past the sports stadiums with benches, landscaping, etc.  Don't get me wrong- classy was on vacation for this one, and Pittsburgh's finest were out to take in the "talent".

ignore how bad I look (sweaty and puffy eyed from my horrendous allergies)- I'm posting this photo to show off the "tent" aka nursing cover. This thing is fantastic.  It can get a bit warm under there, and tends to mess up Tilly's hair (these considerations are important!) but its pretty (love the pink and brown) and wonderful for nursing where ever we are, so its always with me.

It was a weekend of visitors.  Friends of ours from college, Eric & Eliza (check out their publishing company) came in for a day with their 2 children- it was great to see them, and to see their kids growing so quickly!  Reg's sister Stephanie also came to visit us this weekend, and we had a super time.  We had fantastic lazy days complete with lots of reality tv watching, going out to dinner and brunch, and enjoying the neighborhood.  She took some fabulous photos of Mathilda and a few candid whole family shots.  Finally captured our little girl's smile!
