Hello friends, readers, followers,
Today marks the unveiling of a new beginning for the Gillefonds. Perhaps you've noticed the new blog layout? Autumn is my favorite season, orange one of my favorite colors, and now I have both in the background of the blog. As mentioned in the previous post, I also have a new ticker counting the number of views we've received (you can see how many people have viewed these pages between your own visits- such fun for everyone!). You may also have noticed a new ticker at the top of the page. Yep. Look up. Above the posts, below the blog title. That is our pregnancy ticker. You might also see that it reads that our fetus - or Papoose, as we lovingly call it- is 12 weeks old. In fact, Papoose begins its 13th week of existence on Friday, September 24th, which also happens to be my 29th birthday!
If you didn't know before, you've probably figured it out by now. The Gillefonds are having a baby! Home buying, renovating decorating, cooking, and gardening were apparently not enough to really domesticate us. We decided to go for the GOLD in urbansuburban bliss! I've been wanting to write about this amazing experience which has been nothing short of awe-inspiring so far, but for practical, personal, and privacy reasons, we decided to keep papoose out of the blogosphere for its first trimester of life. I kept a sort-of diary, which I admit, I didn't keep as regularly as if I was really blog posting. I will post about the last 13 weeks (ok, actually, 9 weeks, you get the first 4 for free) over a couple of different entries.
Disclaimer: this is a blog written by adults, read by adults. I have said before that this is a documentation of our new lives in our new urbansuburban environment. Now that means being pregnant, preparing for the tiny (3 inches now!) human being inside of me to make its entrance into the world. I'm guessing that this process will not always be roses and diamonds. In other words, I won't stop being honest. I won't be grotesque or inappropriate- but if you dont want to hear about the human body, well, find another blog.
